10. Starting and Training

Different horse breeds are started and trained according to their roles and tasks. While the Lippizaners at the Spanish Riding School are trained in dressage, and carefully bred Thoroughbreds are trained to race, Icelanders focus on the training of the five gaits that are the hallmark of the Icelandic horse.
